Days 4 and 5

So, day four. We woke up, Ben took some pictures of where we climbed (which are on the Day 3 post if you missed it), and then we headed out to Devils Tower in Wyoming. Devils Tower was, in a word, sweet! Mostly the big old boulders that fell all about the base of it which were perfect for scrambling and running on. It was super cool and I had a blast, while Ben was boring and just walked around.

Here you can see the boulders that we (mostly me) were running around on.

One thing that is really cool about Devils Tower is that it rises so starkly from the land around it. There are barely any big rock formations (just a couple that are parts of a big hill anyway) so it's really cool seeing this gigantic tower right in the middle of these hilly grasslands.

And this one that's to the side is of some people climbing, but it wouldn't rotate for whatever reason.

After we finished with Devils Tower we headed down towards Denver to hang with our Uncle Jeff and his family, which has been sweet, as it always is! But before we got here (Uncle Jeff's) we stopped and camped here...

And then we woke up and drove through Cheyenne to Denver, then we chilled with Jeff, Bernie, and the kids till this morning, on which we will likely go boating with some friends of theirs. It's going to be sweet!

Later everyone!
